Kim Delaney was an American actress. The actress is best known for her character, Detective Diane Russell, in the ABC drama series NYPD Blue. For this she won an Emmy Award. Her credits are All My Children Philly CSI: Miami & Army Wives. She was born as the only child to a senior executive of the United Auto Workers and a homemaker Delaney was raised with four brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of becoming a reporter for the court. She began modelling at the age of 14 and later landed commercial opportunities when she relocated into New York. In 1981, she appeared as a naive teen in the film All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with a variety of television shows and dramas. The way she lives her life, unlike her professional one has nt been a success and has not been happy. This actress who's talented and stunning, has had to battle alcoholism in the past. She has also had marriages that failed two times. In 2005, she lost custody of her only son.
